Pvt. MILLER,EPHRAIM ASHLEY

This is a photo of my Grandpa Ephraim Ashley Miller,the son of John I. Miller an Hannah Badger.

Ephraim Ashley Miller served in the US Army in WW1,about 1918. He was assigned with the BTRY C 49th ARTY CAL.,in France. Ephraim died on 19 March 1957 an was buried at the "Willamette National Cemetery" in Portland,Oregon.

                                     Cora Carter was born on Nov 1891 or 1892 in Wilton, Will County,Illinois to Charies Carter an Florence Houghton. Cora was married to Ephraim Ashley Miller(1888-1957) in 1910 in Hood River,Oregon. This was Ephraim Ashley Miller's first wife.Later,after Cora pass away in 1911,Ephraim Ashley Miller married Marion Hollinshead(1893-1976) in 9 Aug 1916 in King County,Washington.
Ephriam Ashley and Cora had one child(Son) named: Robert Marvin Miller,born on 28 April 1911 in Hood River,Oregon.
Cora died in 15 May 1911 at Cotage Hospital on Monday morning in Hood River,Oregon. She pass away as the result of blood poisoning at the age of 19 years old. Funeral services were held at Bartmess Chapel and was conducted by Rev.E.A. Harris an buried at Idle Wilde Cemetery in Hood River,Oregon.
                                     The 1910 United States Federal Census shows that the Carter family was living in Oregon for the 1910 Census. The family members were:
             Charles Carter(Father) Age 44 b.ABT 1866 in Maryland
             Florence Houghton(Mother) Age 38   b.1871 in Maryland
             Walter Carter(Son) Age 19
             Cora Carter(Daughter) Age 18
             Milton Carter(Son) Age 6
In 1920 or just before 1920,the Carter family moved back to Illinois with their Grandson Robert M. Miller(Ephriam Ashley and Cora Carter Miller son). The 1920 Census shows that they lived in Will,Will County, Illinios.

He died on 15 Nov 1932 in Hood River,Oregon.

IN THE MEMORY OF ILA LEAH PEFFER(TANNER), 1931-2011

Ida Leah was born on 13 April 1931 in Duchesne,Utah to Lee Duane Tanner an Reva Tanner( Young) and she was the second child out of nine children. As, Ida Leah was going up as a child,she lived in Duchesne,Utah; Burley,Idaho; Cascade Locks,Oregon; Vancouver,Washington; Harlan,Oregon and Hood River,Oregon. Ida Leah Married Paul Peffer an they had four children.

Ida Leah Peffer(Tanner) pass alway on 1 May 2011 in Texas.
