S.Korea-58th Ord Co.(Ammo), 83rd Ord BN(Ammo)DS/GS, 8th FASCOM
CAMP HANDRICH
I served with the 58th Ord Co.(Ammo)which is part of the 83rd Ord Bn(Ammo)for 13 months(1969-1970) as a "Ammunition Storage Specialist" in a Army Depot(046),located in Sihung,S.Korea about 10 miles south from Seoul and the 83rd Ord Bn in Seoksu-dong was about 5 miles south from the 58th Ord Co.
The 58th Ord company maintain and stored ammunition at the Depot(046) in storage ammunition Magazines on acres an acres of land,which was dividend into sections.
The 58th Ord Co would ship out and received ammunition most everyday at the Railhead(RTO) in the depot.
Also,the 58th Ord Company maintain and stored ammunition at ASP 10 in Wonju near Camp Long.
In 1975,the 83rd Ord Bn became inactive. In 1987,the 83rd Ord Bn was reactivated and is now located in Japan.

redesignated on 14 April 2005 as the Headquarters and Headquarters Company,8th Theater Sustainment Command.
